The Samsung Self-Repair program now encompasses a total of 50 products. This landmark comes as Samsung adds 14 new devices to the program, including the Galaxy S23 lineup, a bevy of foldable phones, and the Freestyle 2nd Gen projector.

It’s been nearly two years since Samsung launched the Self-Repair program. In that time, the number of devices covered by Self-Repair has increased sevenfold. This is a staggering development, especially when compared to Apple’s Self-Service Repair, which is a few months older than Samsung’s program but only covers 35 products.

Anyway, you can now buy OEM parts for the Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 lineup. Laptops get a bit of love with the addition of the Galaxy Book 2 series, and Samsung is providing genuine parts for select 2023 smart TVs and the Freestyle 2nd Gen projector. A collection of 2023 Samsung soundbars have also made their way to the Self-Repair program—Samsung says that these soundbars can be repaired using a Philips-head screwdriver and other common tools.

All of these products are at least a year old. It’s safe to assume that new devices, like the Galaxy S24, will not be added to Self-Repair until they hit their first birthday.

If you’re getting a sense of déjà vu, that’s because some of these products (specifically the foldable phones) were added to the European Self-Repair lineup in December 2023. This was mistakenly reported as a global rollout by some publications.

Note that Samsung recently expanded its in-warranty repair program. The company now provides same-day repairs at select Batteries Plus locations. This is in addition to the same-day repairs offered at Best Buy and other retailers. I strongly suggest that you take advantage of your phone’s warranty when possible, as repairs may be provided for free or at a discount (it’s usually cheaper than fixing a device on your own).
