There’s a ton of gaming laptops out there, but the ROG Zephyrus series are some of the best out there—more specifically, the 14-inch model. It’s compact, thin, incredibly powerful, and more importantly, it’s not even that expensive. It’s the perfect laptop for those who want a versatile machine, and now ASUS has released a revamped model with a new, sleeker design.
ASUS’ Republic of Gamers (ROG) sub-brand has unveiled the 2024 Zephyrus G14, a thin and lightweight gaming laptop, and it might end up as one of the best gaming laptops of the year. The laptop has a new aluminum chassis that looks sleek and more low-profile compared to its predecessors. It also features customizable lighting, just in case you still want that sparkly gamer-y look. It’s also notable that this Zephyrus G14 features an OLED ROG Nebula Display with G-SYNC capabilities for vivid visuals, making for the very first time NVIDIA is including an OLED display on a ROG-series laptop. ASUS says the three internal fans should help deliver more efficient cooling.
The strongest selling point for the 2024 Zephyrus G14 is probably still the design. It looks better than previous models, with some design changes allowing for an edge-to-edge keyboard, larger speakers with improved bass, and a larger touchpad. The Platinum White color option offers a luxurious matte finish. The laptop features a Slash Lighting array on the lid for customizable lighting effects, suitable for any environment.
The Zephyrus G14 is equipped with AMD Ryzen 8000-series processors and up to a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, ensuring that regardless of its low-profile, you won’t have a problem running just about any game. Having a Ryzen 8000 chip, it also has an integrated NPU and supports AI features for productivity tools and gaming enhancements, but that depends on more software supporting it in the coming months and years. The base model has a 14-inch screen, a Ryzen 9 8000 CPU, a 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM, and a GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card.
