2 Free PC Games You Can Claim on Steam and Epic Games Store … – GameRant

PC gamers can claim a free game on Steam thanks to the Steam Spring Sale, while Epic Games Store users have a free game to claim as well.
UPDATE 3/25: Unfortunately, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure is no longer available as a free Steam download. The Epic Games Store, meanwhile, has replaced Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War with Chess Ultra and World of Warships – Starter Pack: Ishizuchi. Those two games will be free on the Epic Games Store until March 30, at which point they will be replaced by co-op brawler Tunche.
Original story follows.

It's an exciting time to be a PC gamer, as fans have multiple free games they can claim completely free of charge across Steam and the Epic Games Store. While there are many free-to-play games on PC for users to play at their leisure, there are also occasions when paid games are made available for PC gamers to claim for free, and right now both Steam and the Epic Games Store have freebies available for a limited time.
Steam's Spring Sale promotion is live right now, and it gives users of Valve's digital distribution platform the chance to snag Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure for free. The Steam Spring Sale is live now until March 23 at 10am PT, so there is still time for anyone interested to take advantage of the big deals and claim the free game for their Steam library.

While nothing beats free, there are some rather significant discounts on Steam games that make them available for next to nothing. In fact, the Valve Complete Pack is discounted by 96% while the save is live, allowing users to get about $146 worth of games for just around $7. Those that don't want to spend any money at all can still enjoy the Steam Spring Sale by grabbing Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure while it's free.
Typically retailing for $9.99, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure is the standalone version of the Borderlands 2 expansion pack Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep. Its story is framed as a tabletop RPG hosted by Tiny Tina and is notable for its over-the-top sense of humor as well as its more heartfelt moments. It directly inspired Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, which is a full-scale version of the concept.
This isn't the first time that PC users have had the opportunity to claim Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure. Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep was free on the Epic Games Store a couple of years back, but anyone that missed out on claiming it then has the opportunity to get it for free while it's free on Steam.
Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure is not the most popular Borderlands series game, unfortunately. While it was well-received as an expansion pack for Borderlands 2, the standalone version has not been as big of a hit. Right now, the game has Mixed Reviews on Steam, and it's unlikely that will change, even with users getting it as part of the Steam Spring Sale promotion.
It's also worth mentioning that, at the time of this writing, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure is not Steam Deck compatible. Whereas there are many games that are technically playable on the Steam Deck but simply not optimized for the device, this game is apparently not available to play on it at all. Even so, there's no harm in claiming a free game, so Steam users should be sure to do so while they still can.
While Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure is currently free for Steam users to claim, those that prefer the Epic Games Store have a free game to claim as well. The Epic Games Store updates its free game offerings every Thursday at 10:00am CT, cycling in a new free game while also confirming the free games that are coming to the platform the following week.
At the time of this writing, the Epic Games Store free game is Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War, a turn-based strategy game set in the Warhammer universe. It first launched in 2018 to mixed reviews, but it's still notable for being the first 4x strategy game based on the Warhammer 40,000 franchise. Even if one doesn't consider themselves a big Warhammer fan, though, there's no reason to miss out on claiming it for one's Epic Games Store library. After all, the Epic Games Store free games are completely free of charge with no strings attached.
Next week, Epic Games Store users will have two more freebies to claim. Chess Ultra will be free for Epic Games Store users to claim from March 23 to March 30, while the World of Warships Starter Pack: Ishizuchi will be free within that same window as well. Those will be the last free games for the Epic Games Store in March 2023, but April should bring more free games with it.
